Neurorehabilitation

Balance

The post graduate qualifications endorsed in Neurorehabilitation Physiotherapy offer Physiotherapists working in neurorehabilitation the opportunity to enhance their understanding of clinical and academic issues within the broad neurorehabilitation arena.

The focus is on investigating and analysing contemporary developments in neurorehabilitation practice and research. The programmes aim to provide students with:

  • A critical understanding of physiotherapy approaches in neurorehabilitation
  • An ability to evaluate complex clinical problems and to assess the outcome of interventions
  • An ability to critically review pertinent literature
  • In addition, students enrolled in the Master of Physiotherapy (neurorehabilitation) programme must also undertake a research project of clinical interest and relevance

Programme Options via Distance Learning

The timeframes outlined are for distance learning part-time options, as this is the preferred method for most clinicians.  The Postgraduate Diploma and Masters can be completed in two semesters (PG DipPhty) or three semesters (MPhty) if taken full-time.
